Hi, welcome to our Super Awesome Van Plan! 

We are one of those crazy fun couples who are in process of creating a little van home.

Frank the Tank was purchased in November for an unbeatable price.

Tom and I are huge advocates for a minimal lifestyle.

Not because it is trendy, but because it truly feels good.

Really good.

We have spent the last 2-4 years shaving our possessions down to the essentials.

We have narrowed down what truly creates meaning in our lives.

We have worked hard as rehab therapists, fitness instructors, farm hands, baristas, and a variety of other positions to develop a skill set required for a life that fills us up.

I have always had the travel bug eating me from the inside out since high school.

I transferred the bug to Tom pretty quickly after setting up our first big adventure to Alaska.

There we gained experience in living in small quarters.

Many thought we'd drive each other crazy.

Turns out we really, really, really like each other.

The closer the better. 

That's when we confirmed tiny living was the right move for us.

Ideas of a tiny home surfaced, accompanied by the thought of purchasing an RV.

Both of those options seemed too loud. 

Then, we noticed the growing number of kids like us 

choosing a life of simplicity through the van life.

With the spark of inspiration from the van life community, 

plus our current skill set, 

and the incredible timing of the universe

we found Frank the Tank.

We will be documenting the build out process plus

  a detailed record of accumulated costs once the build out is finished.

I noticed a lot of people document the process but not the dollars!
